The Neighborhood...

We live in a village at the end of Adelaide. Views to the sea, nothing more behind us than hills.

It feels like a village, still.

Hectares upon hectares of bush and gums.

Koalas and kangaroos.

Bush windmills. Acres of market gardens.

An absolute mix mash of housing styles that has evolved over the generations.

The CFS and passionate sporting clubs.

Bounded by the Torrens River and it's linear walks, and a conservation park; it's an area of creeks and hills.

Settled in the 1840's, still thriving today - joined now to the urban sprawl.

The Post Office - 1886

Bush-fire risks and snakes aside, I love it here.

Crappy internet and mobile coverage aside, I love it here.

I love it here.

  5. You had me with the sea. And the bit about housing styles evolved over the generations. Sounds lovely.

  6. Sounds like you live south of Adelaide. I live 40k north and miss seeing the sea :( not to mention doing the Central Market and all the shopping centres, although now that they are charging for car parking they can bugger off. I do miss Glenelg.
