What gives?

Image from here
I need to mainline coffee
I am exercising every day - just. It is SO tempting to not bother, just to regain an hour.
I have not vacummed or mopped for a fortnight. The house is gross.
I cannot remember when I changed the bed sheets. That makes me cringe.
Thank goddess it's the end of term, so I feel no guilt when I encourage the skips to skip their homework
I cannot remember the last time I sat with a glass of wine and made eyes at my lovely husband
Our freezer is nearly empty of real food.
I have a to do list that covers two A4 pages.
I have work deadlines, assigmments due, cakes to bake, children to cuddle, tomatoes to be watered - and I am not sure I am going to get any of it done very well at all.
I bought new t-shirts today as I have no clean ironed ones
I am nearly forgot to blog today

I know it's not just me.

I know we are all frantic at this time of year.

What gives with you?

  1. You go do things and never mind the blog. My list is bad, but it sounds positively peachy compared to yours. We're nearly there though. Nearly there, then we can make eyes at our Mr.s and drink wine and breathe. xo

  3. Yeah, thats my life. Thank goodness school holidays soon so I have a chance not to rush everyday. A day at home seems like a luxury, time to simplify.

  9. I think we are all a bit overwhelmed and behind at this time of year. I had a catch up day yesterday which was good, and today I plan to do the same to get back to some sort of normality - for at least an hour.

  11. Aha, I knew there was value in being obsessive compulsive. Even hubby agreed yesterday when we did the last of the xmas shopping with 2 weeks to go. I may be crazy but I am... Ok I am just plain crazy and YES I too iron the t-shirts.

Take a deep breath and buy a few take-away meals for the family...they won't mind.

    Cheers

  14. hang in there. HANG like that darn cat on those posters you know I'm talking about. Soon this will pass. And you'll have time to recover.

  15. ahhh i'm feeling totally blissed out this december, totally unstressed and uber relaxed but i can put that down to us deciding Christmas is bypassing us this year - i recommended everyone does it every couple of years! it's a refreshing break and the perfect lead up to the new year, so you're full of energy to tackle new years resolutions!

re the to do list, remember to focus on one thing at a time, in fact cover the rest up and only look at the next one once the previous one is complete, that way you won't get overwhelmed ;-)

    ~x~
