Grateful for a table for two...

Tonight I am grateful for a few things.

I am grateful to have my house back to myself after weeks of guests.

I am grateful for being able to curl up on my couch and fall asleep in front of Hustle. Just me and my lovely husband, in peace.

I am grateful for my three gorgeous children, whose goodness has overwhelmed me - they have made me so proud - their grandparents are suitably impressed.

In turn, I am also very grateful to my parents in law.

They have babysat for us a fair bit this week - the lovely husband and I have eaten out, just the two of us, in some amazing restaurants.

The intimacy and conversations that eating out affords - I am grateful for that.

I am grateful for a table for two.

What are you grateful for this week?

  2. I'd love to go out on a date with my husband. The last one was what seems like years ago... no less than 6 months, anyway.

  3. Fantastic list! I just got back from being the guest, so I know it's nice to visit, but always nice to be back in your own house as well.

  11. Catching up with family can be great. Watching the children interact with their grandparents can be wonderful.

Time alone with your husaband as adults...priceless.

What great things you are grateful for today.

  13. love posts about gratitude because it makes you sit and think about all that you have to be grateful for yourself...

I have an unexpected, and particularly lovely thing to be grateful this afternoon. I get to spend time with my partner without any children in tow. Conversation without interuption, thai dinner, doing whatever else takes our fancy...

  14. The table for two cannot compare to anything else particularly when there has been so much going on. So glad you've enjoyed that time together.

  18. I love the gratitude list, it really helps me keep things in perspective!

    - I'm grateful for my health
    - I'm grateful for the success of others. This one I've been thinking about a lot. Seeing others succeed really inspires me...I've been watching Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition (Monday nights on ABC at 10pm/9c) and Rachel's story just resonated with me...so many similarities it was amazing to see someone with similar struggles. - I'm grateful for the sun coming up each day and the opportunity it brings

Thanks for posting gratitude lists! Enjoy your weekend!
