The eye of the tiger....

And here we go again.

The start of anther week.

Monday - my favourite day.

I feel energised from this weekend.

House cleanish? Check.

Children and husband all happy? Check.

Garden sensational? Check.

Friends all OK? Check.

Diet? Ermmmmmm....bistro meals at the cricket club are not a plate of health.

Exercise? CHECK

And here I am again - group personal training this morning at 6am sharp.

And I know it's cheesy, but when this song comes on my trainer's stereo, I cannot help but work a little bit harder. Run a little bit faster. Lift a little bit heavier.

(This montage is a good one - if you ever need a little inspiration on the fitness stakes, Sly does it for me everytime...)

What makes YOU work harder?

  1. What makes me work harder?? Well, some good, loud 80's music, certainly (but that's a prerequisite for a good day, I suppose...). A bouncy pair of runners (and mine are looking a little tired!). Something good to look at - such as a gorgeous view, or a funny telly show, or a particular trainer...but really, the thing that motivates me the most? The idea of NOT being the fat mama at my 35th birthday!! After three babies I have 7 kilos to go before I'm back at true pre-baby weight (not necessarily pre-baby body, but you get that!) and it's so close I can taste it!!! I'm tired of being the one with the multiple chins in family photos. So I guess you could say I'm running away from my chub and towards a lean jaw line!!!! Thanks for the Monday motivation, sweetie xx

  3. Someone getting fair up me. That's what makes me work harder. Sadly, very few people do. Time to get my own motivation methinks. xx Happy Monday

  4. Bern, you're right. One of the things that kick started the weight loss thing for me was an altercation with an ex-friend...she got fair up me.

  6. Do you pre-pay? Mine is paid for for the whole term - I hate to waste the $$. She weighs me every Monday too. I fear for my life and my sanity if I should ever skip it.

I have never skipped. After Easter this year, I will have trained with her for three years, and never missed a session. God, I am such a teachers pet...

    xx

  7. EOTT works every time. And that horrible 'Ah Push It' Salt and Pepa song. That gets me going too. Sad, but true! x

  9. If Bern says it, it's in an Aussie accent. If I say it, it's timged with Yorkshire. Either way, it says it all.......xx

Happy Monday Lucy. I love a bit of Beyonce - fit but curvy, she has an amazing voice and I'm rather partial to a bit of RnB. Gnarles Barkley is another fave for the gym.
    Go get 'em, Tiger. x
