A Special Day

This Sunday is a very special day.

10.10.10

This Sunday, the date will be the tenth day of the tenth month of the tenth year of the second millennium.

And I am completing a half marathon on this day. The McLaren Vale Half Marathon

I have been training for this for 5 months.

I am doing it for charity, for the Starlight Children's Foundation, for all the Captain Starlights out there, who have such a positive impact on the time kids spend in hospital.

My son, Charlie, who was hospitalised earlier this year for a long spell: his time in traction was literally transformed by Captain Starlight.

If anyone hasn't sponsored me, please, I would love it if you could..........I am aiming to raise $750 for the Starlight Children's Foundation. I have $100 to go.....help me reach my target? All you need to do is click here.

  9. I did my first 1/2 marathon 7 years ago in an effort to lose weight. It was the hardest thing I've ever done but such a wonderful reward at the end when you know you've done it.

Good luck, drink lots of fluids, and drink lots of fluids. Oh, and drink lots of fluids. :)
