Hi Lucy!!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog because it's real, honest, and SO inspirational. You are wonderful, and your commitment is really something else. Amazing. I like everything and I don't want you to ever stop!!!
I like your voice Lucy. And the fact that you inspire me to get off my butt and do useful things with exercise.
ReplyDeleteNot new.
ReplyDeleteI like that you are amazing and your writing. Don't stop (til you get enough) ♫♫
:)
OMG, Just took me an hour to work out the comment thingy.
ReplyDeleteI love it here because the wonderful women you are is here. And I'm using the hell out of this blog to get my butt into gear. Love the blog hop.
Would love more tips on weight loss or mindset or whatever.
I love reading your blog because of your spark, enthusiasm, positive attitude, motivation, and your support of others. After reading one of your posts, I always feel happier and more motivated to stay on track with my fitness routine.
ReplyDeleteOoh, new comment thingy!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog because you're honest. It's not just a 'eat right and exercise and oh my gosh it all just fell off', its more of a 'i worked really hard to do the right things, and it wasn't always easy and sometimes i fell down - but i got back up time after time and it was all worth it' :)
I think this blog hop you've created is brilliant, it helps us motivate each other and share what we're having problems with, share our wins for the week.
What can I say, you're just cool all over Ms Lucy!
BTW, this is The Fat Lady - usually comes up with my av :)
ReplyDeleteBern, you have complimented me on my writing before. It makes my heart sing, from you, to hear that, as I never consider myself a writer at all, but when you mention it, it feels good. Thank you. xx
ReplyDeleteI read your blog because it's motivating and honest. Very similar to Jody's reasons.
ReplyDeleteWould definitely love to see ways to keep ones self motivated. At the very beginning of my weightless and it's already hard. So hard to keep on track and everything fluctuates.
Your amazing blog hop helps so much. To see others going through the same thing.
Also, you're just awesome.
Hey Hey,
ReplyDeleteI stumbled over your blog today and I just had to tell you I'm enjoying your blog. Your awesome. I became a follower and I'm looking forward to keeping up and leaving comments. I hope you will check out my blog, and become a follower. I have a button, and I'd like to add you to my blog roll. I hope you have a lovely weekend. God Bless You and Yours

Love,
Jess
I like that you share your weight loss experience (as well as other life stories) in a "if I can do this so can you" kinda way. You are a wonderful role model for so many just like you. You have a great turn of phrase and a warm approach with your readers. I feel like I know you (although you are a stranger). I would like to read more about the impact your 'dieting' has on your family. How do they feel about the 'new you'? Do you eat with them? do you teach them? How does all of that work? As I am (fairly) new to your blog, I'd also like to know more about how life was for you before kids.
ReplyDeleteI like that you inspire me to get off my butt and run. I love your voice and what you say. I love how you write.
ReplyDeleteBut mostly I love that we both lust after Kevin. And Matt. And ah... wait... what was I saying...
Bespoke, lovely girl. Bespoke.
ReplyDeleteThere is some meaty ideas for me to be getting my teeth into! Watch this space! THANK YOU! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess, and welcome!
ReplyDeleteMotivation. I hear you. Crucial. Watch this space! (And thank you for your lovely comments.)
ReplyDeleteThe new comment thingy - I am missing photos for some reason? Have to figure that one out! It is such a relief to be able to be honest and not feel like I am being judged - so thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou are gorgeous. I am glad. xx
ReplyDeleteMel, the mindset thing is key, you are right. If only I had all the answers.........LOL! But I am working on them, I promise!
ReplyDeleteI like your voice too, sweet Al. Your blog, in turn, inspires me to think about how and what I write, so thank you! xx
ReplyDeleteCliare, thank you so much. xx
ReplyDeleteI love your blog because you keep it real. I also feel like your kinda like the big sister that I never had, also there with a hug, a joke, a kind word, a kick up the bum, a nurofen and a drink as needed xx
ReplyDeleteI cant even remember how i came across your blog but i really enjoyed reading it and found it quite inspiring...
ReplyDeleteI too am on a weight loss journey, well my whole life is a bit of a weight loss journey to be honest ! I like that you are honest, realistic and you blog the good the bad and the ugly.
You live in my hometown and i was flabbergasted to see that your son broke his femur just a month after my 3 yr old son broke his and they were in the same hospital...too bizzare.
Keep up the great blogging :)
Well, I am interested in the weight loss side of things. Especially the mental stuff that goes on (the why's etc). Some of the family stuff is interesting, but more as a side dish to the weight loss posts.
ReplyDeleteOk, deep breath from me, I do not read guest posts, blog flogging, post it notes etc. I want real words from the writer of the blog I am following. To clarify blog flogging, I am ok with a post about another post that someone has written, either an agreement or disagreement or your take on the topic, but the whole list of blogs is just a no go for me.
Hope that helps.
It does, thanks Astrid, for being so honest.
ReplyDeleteOh wow. That is bizarre! How is you son now??
ReplyDeleteBless you. xx
ReplyDeleteI just love reading you Lucy. You make me smile, and you right beautifully, and your sunny personality comes through in very post.
ReplyDeleteOh Lori, thank you. As I commented to Bern earlier, I don't view myself as a writer, so it is suprising but lovely when people tell me they enjoy my words........xx
ReplyDeleteHe is great now...no residual problems. We were lucky he only spent a week in traction before have spica on for 6.5 weeks. Originally Registrar said 3 weeks in traction but then the Prof decided he was a good candidate for early spica....How is your son going?
ReplyDeleteOnly a week in traction - what a relief!
ReplyDeleteCharlie is all good now. Still limping, and he missed his first term of school, but totally fine now. Thank goodness!
I really like a lot of things:
ReplyDeleteHow interactive you are with your readers, it's great to see a blog writer treat a blog like a conversation instead of soap box.
I love that your posts are short and easily to read, so that I can do it quickly without my employer catching me
I love that you have such an awesome list of blogs that you like, as I am always looking for new blogs to read
I LOVE that you asked for our thoughts.
Great blog overall!
Thanks Patti, that is lovely feedback, I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI hope I did not come across as too harsh, but that does tend to be the way I write. I am no t a warm & fuzzy type of person, but I do mean well.
ReplyDeleteI think I have come to the point of where I have worked out what I do and don't want from blogs that follow.
Nah, not tharsh. I appreciate it. It's a tricky thing - the blog hop - The Fat to Fit thing - it helps so many people out - me included........ so I guess it comes down to the age old adage of "can't pleae all the people all the time"
ReplyDeleteI missed this post, Lucy, but wanted to let you know that I am loving being a regular on your site. I think your voice is honest and smart and funny. Your posts are inspiring (for us weighties) and interesting (for just about anyone). You're a very good bloggy friend to many and I enjoy catching up with what's happening in your life.x
ReplyDeleteAnd I love you being a regular reader. It makes me feel safe to have you reading. Thank you. xx
ReplyDeleteI really only just happened on to your blog recently. What caught my eye was your weight loss counter. I am working to lose 50lbs, so hey I thought I gotta read what she is doing!
ReplyDeleteI love the honesty that is betrayed in your post! Be true to your own true self, is how I see your blog. I love it, I will read when I can.
I forgot to comment when i read this Lucy so I hope I am not too late!?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Patti as it is great you interact with your followers so much and give such great advice and not at all preacher about it!. I am thrilled I found your blog and I like the blog links and I have found some great blogs as a result and I like your guest posts and would like to see them more! keep up the great work :-)
I come here to read because everytime the borwser opens up to your blog it feels as though I have entered the door of a friends house. There is nothing in particular that I want to read or see you write, I just like reading whatever you write. You give so much online to others, and I always appreciate the time you take to leave me a comment. Please just keep on writing and portraying your lovely personality and sharing your beautiful life with the rest of us :)
ReplyDeleteJen, that made me cry. Thank you so much for such a beautiful compliment. I think that is one of the nicest comments I have ever ever had. xx
