And so here it is!
This whole dieting bizzo, for me, has been life changing.
I have had so much help along the way to keep me on this journey.
And as a result, there has been a lot of components that have all been added to my "toolbox" for healthy living.
SO, I figured the very best thing for me to giveaway at this stage would be a package of things for anyone wanted to:
- Embark on a journey to health
- Kickstart a diet
- Start living more healthily
- Eat less move more
- Gain slimness
- Lose some lard
- Diminish
- Nurture themselves
My box of goodies to you contains:
- A smart little pedometer (so you can move more!)
- A copy of the brilliant book "Think Slim" by Mark Stephens, which also contains access to a free MP3 Think Slim hypnotherapy session (so you will find it SO much easier to eat less!) One of the mainstays of my diminishing journey has been self guided hypnotherapy. I recall raving about its benefits here. Particularly Mark's Think Slim Program. It really is amazing, and I honestly credit the fact that I have remained on this journey of mine in no small part to his concepts. (Plus, at the risk of sounding like an advert here, the service I have recieved from the team at "Think Slim" is amazing as well.)
- A beautiful beautiful Coconut, Lime & Lemon Verbena Parafait boxed gift set, so that you can just nurture yourself a little.
So...............if you would like to win all this, all you need to do is:
- Follow me....
- Comment, and tell me why you would like to diminish: give me your best and most honest reason

I'd like to 'diminish' because I want to get back to the healthy, vibrant, try anything, can-do person that I felt like about 10 months ago.... before I got pregnant! Pregnancy has really knocked my body around. Just before I got pregnant I lost a little over 10kg and was feeling fit and fabulous. I want that feeling back!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I like it. Can I be honest and say it;s not myself I want to diminish, but my hubby? He is a big bloke, I am a tiny woman... you know how things go ;) I love him, every male in his family is dead due to weight and heart issues, and I want to keep him as long as possible.
ReplyDeleteLook out for you plug, coming soon. :D
Great giveaway Lucy. 2010 is my year for getting fit, would be great if it was also my year of getting slim so I am very interested in that wonderful book. Will certainly put a link up soon. xxx
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thank you for your comments on my posts! Very much appreciated! And I had a great weigh in today...so I am a very happy girl!
ReplyDeleteAnd that is probably my reason for wanting to diminish...because i have never felt this happy. It isn't just about the weight loss, it is the whole overall feeling of a healthier life. I am fitter, stronger, have new interests, new friends, I like to see myself in a mirror now, a new lease in life.
This all makes me happy, and I cannot remember being this happy. I can't remember being a little bit happy. But I know I love this feeling and I never want it to end!
when I was diagnoosed with breast cancer in 2003, my doctor said, "Of course you know obesity can lead to breast cancer." NO I didn't. (Fine time to tell me.) I am down 100 pounds, but still need to lose more. And why do I want to lose more? Because chemo sucks, and I never want to have to do that again!
ReplyDeleteHi there... diminishing... I would like to diminish in a number of relevant places, but what I'd like more is to have my old self back, with the energy that implies. I feel sluggish all the time and need some kind of boost to help me start on a different foot. Thanks for the opportunity, it's a really happy challenge.
ReplyDeleteI recently signed up for a high intensity training boot camp because I truly want to lose weight and get toned. It's at 5:30 a.m., so you know I'm serious about it. I'd like to win this box of goodies because it will, also,
ReplyDeletehelp me achieve my goal. I just feel better, think I look better, and clothes look nicer on me when I weigh less.
You should be really proud with the weight lose you're achieving. Keep up the good work.
I'm signed up to follow you, but, don't have my own blog; I just comment on everyone elses.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to become a diminished 'former chubby' because I'm getting up in years and want to continue getting older. This prize looks great. What really attracts me is the hypnotherapy. I think that would help me control my cravings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway.
I just became a follower...
ReplyDeleteI'd like to 'diminish' because I want to be the best that I can be
ReplyDeleteI would like to diminish my habit of sitting all day in front of a computer by getting up for 5 minutes every hour and getting some sort of exercise, just moving my body. We weren't meant to sit all day!!! This giveaway is just the inspiration I need!

ReplyDeleteI am on a journey to be the best me i can be, for myself and for them, they are my inspiration, my life and my reason for living.. what better reason could i have.
not sure how to link, new to all of this :-(
ReplyDeleteI want my confidence and positive self image back. I want to be fit for my son. I want to be able to enjoy sex the way I used to. I want to change my emotional-eater mindset.
ReplyDeleteI need to win.
Hi, I have had 4 kids and I am over having my baby weight hanging around! My youngest is now 15months so I have started my weightloss adventure ( journey is too overused!). I've become a bit of a cranky, tired mummy and wife and I am hoping if I lose my excess weight I won't be as tired, less cranky and more outgoing and of course happy with me. So I would love to win your amazing giveaway:)
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy, I lost about 20 pounds last year that I gained after going through treatment for thyroid cancer (which caused me to gain quite a bit of weight). I was encouraged by this and want to follow this up by losing the remaining 20 pounds. My main motivation is to be healthy and teach my kids to enjoy a balanced and nutritious diet. My goal is to get back to the weight I was before I had kids.
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy,I'm a new follower ang want to be diminisher because I want to start a family and want my kids to have the best me that I can give them, from the moment they are born. I want to be a great role model from the start!
ReplyDeletehi Lucy, I am a new follower also. I have a BMI of 37 and it's slowing me down, as a mother as a wife and as myself. I want so much to lose weight so that I can be a happier more active parent and also to raise my self esteem which is truly low. My husband doesn't even get to see me naked cos I dislike how overweight I am after my babies. I want my children to see that although I am overweight I want to be healthy. Not skinny just healthy!! and that we are the only ones who can do that for ourselves and that it needs to be for ourselves. To lose weight would change my life in so many different ways.
ReplyDeleteI would like to diminish for many reasons. Before I had my son (3.5years old), I was a gym junkie - going to the gym 5 times a week. I would go before work and on the weekends. After always being a chubby child I had recently lost quite a bit of weight and wanted to keep it off. I felt good, I looked good. I was even doing step classes up til 36 weeks pregnant, and then swam for the remainder of my pregnancy. Along came my son and I found it so hard to get to the gym - he was a terrible sleeper so the early morning sessions I used to do were out (couldn't get up that early after lack of sleep overnight). I still managed to maintain my weight but had lost my motivation. Then in 2009 I became pregnant again with my daughter. This time I didn't excercise like I did with my first pregnancy, so put on not only baby weight but fat. When she was born I lost the baby weight - but not the fat. She is now 1 and my motivation had completely walked out. I'm now feeling overweight and unhealthy - I had to buy a new wardrobe of clothes.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is obese and my son whilst not fat, is solid. He keeps asking why Daddy has a big tummy and goes on about how he has a fat tummy, and he can't eat a certain thing as it will make him fat.
My father-in-law recently had a heart attack due to obesity so we need to change. I dont' want my son having these issues at 3 years old! I don't want my children growing up chubby like I did - its a cruel world out there. It needs to start with ME!! And then my family can follow!!
Hey Lucy,
ReplyDeleteI would like to win the giveaway because I would love to be be able to wear my wedding ring again after 7 years. I did a post about it here: http://whiningattheworld.blogspot.com/2010/04/lucys-giveaway.html
Thanks for offering us the opportunity to follow in your (very hard to fill) footsteps.
E.
Not hard to fill. I am still a work in progress! Thank you for your post on your blog.xx
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy. Thanks for becoming a follower on my blog. The support helps so much. I want to diminish for a couple of reasons. There is a lot of Cancer and diabetes in my family - I don't want to give in without a fight, I want to be able to run around with my children without feeling like I'm going to keel over after 5 mins - there is a program here called Supersize vs Superskinny which gave me the wakeup call I needed about the road I was on - I don't want to die an early death through my greed. I was late to pick my daughter up from school a couple of weeks ago - speedwalking the 5 minutes it takes to get there almost killed me. Something had to be done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway chance :)
I'd love to diminish so that I can be more mobile. I have rheumatoid arthritis & the less weight I carry the better it would be for me.
ReplyDeleteI follow. I'd love to diminish to fit into some of the old favorite clothes I have and not have to go buying new larger sizes.
ReplyDeletei've been spending this year trying to drop some weight, this would really be helpful

I follow you.
ReplyDeleteMy parents are getting older and I see how my father is struggling with diabetes and all their friends are having health problems because of their weight. I'm terrified of ending up the same as them, but need help.
I want to diminish so that I can be around for my kids.

I want to diminish so that i will be around for my family. I quit smoking over 4 years ago. And i never thought that i would put on weight. But i did put on alot. And i really want to get rid of all of it and get back to where i was before i quit. Which was a healthy weight.
ReplyDeleteballer19822002 at yahoo dot com
I gained weight after quitting smoking last year (a 2 year process for me). I am now 1 1/2 years smoke free. I gained quite a bit of weight that I am finally going to lose. This would be a nice addition to my arsenal of weight lose helpers. When I finally quit smoking I think I was able to because I gathered everything I had been wanting to (or did try on its own in the past and failed) but instead had them ALL at hand. LOL, patches, candy, medication , books, nicotine gum, lozenges, electronic cigarette, food, snacks etc. It seemed to be an insane idea but it worked! Of course I did not use the nicotine items while still smoking nor any medications at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I would like to attack this weight-loss issue. I've already bought a used treadmill, have been downloading recipes, reading about healthier snacking, making grocery lists, bought dollar store weights for in the car , work (when I can sneak them in)- looking to find a solution for all the times I have tried to be healthier and eat healthier but have failed. The pedometer would help with some of the issues at work - I could walk around the building and actually know how far I have gone and also I can set goals for myself. I was also thinking of hypnotherapy and didn't realize that could be done at home! Coconut is my absolutely favorite scent ever. Neat prize. I'd be happy to give an update on my progress. Would really love that book.

ReplyDeleteI follow via GFC (ezemrelda). I would love to diminish because I believe losing some of the fat (especially around my midsection) would help some of my chronic back pain.
